Open Studios Night vol. 7 w/ special guest and live show
At the 7th edition of Open Studios Night will introduce themselves Anežka Hošková (CZ), Blanka Gyori (HU) and a special guest Anders Grønlien with a live set from Norway. As always you will have an opportunity to meet our residency artists, chat with them a little bit and find out what are they planning to create during the residency.
Blanka Gyori (*1989) is a Hungarian artist, who in her works is dealing with identity building, time and recollection. Blanka observes connections between personal experiences and historical or cultural phenomena and usually creates installations, which are always different in character.

Anežka Hošková (*1982) is a significant figure of Czech contemporary art scene and is a member of A.M.180 Collective, which has been running A.M.180 Gallery since 2003 in Prague. Anežka is also co-organizer of the annual festival of contemporary alternative music Creepy Teepee in Kutná Hora. During Open Studios Night she will introduce her work and you will be able to see the result of her residency stay in September at her exhibition in the space of Šopa Gallery.

Anders Grønlien is a Norwegian artist who is co-producing with Anežka Hošková, most recently in Spirit World Rising (2016). His work ranges from painting and drawing to complex installations combining sculpture, sound and light effects, and special-effects makeup. Besides that he does music and you will be able to hear his special music set on Open Studios Night.
The residency program is supported using public funding by Slovak Arts Council. The stay is also supported by Košice city and Creative Industry Košice.
