Borderline Offensive: Description

News

Humor as aesthetic approach and participatory arts as working methods are employed to guide interaction, dialogue, and cooperation between the migrant and host communities, inviting its members to share knowledge, respect and laugh together, at the same things and at themselves. The aim is to use culture and art as resources for the critical development of social wellbeing and peaceful inter-community relations, within and outside Europe.

Key Activities

2018: 20 artists work together in 5 transnational residencies, facilitate intercultural dialogue between migrant and host communities, and develop new interdisciplinary artworks.
2019: Transnational tour of the new artworks across partnership countries, including innovative intercultural dialogue and audience development activities, plus promotion of extra activities in new/more locations.
2020: Capacity-building workshops transferring new methods into new social contexts, launching of project’s publication with new research approaches and findings at international conference, wide dissemination in EU/ Middle East.
