Košice Artist in Residence
Tijana Radenković is a visual artist from Serbia, now living in Slovakia Bratislava. Her work is at the intersection of identity, body, bio-living systems and contemporary collections (wunderkammer). Radenković’s interests are focused towards examining the identity, problematization, function and perception of the human body, beauty and ideals.
Abel Korinsky (*1985) is a multimedia artist based in Berlin where together with his twin brother run Studio Korinsky. Through audio-visual installations and site-specific works, they are trying to provide a different experience demanding of all the senses.
Laura Leppert (*1993) is a visual artist, filmmaker and sculptor currently based in Berlin and Munich, Germany. During the residency at K.A.I.R. Košice Artist in Residence, Laura plans to work on her video project Haunted House, that deals with intertwined human and animal, bacterial and microorganic sensoriums, and their potential for collective sensing and storytelling.
Lucia Gašparovičová is a visual artist originally from Žilina and currently based in Bratislava.
Ján Skaličan (1989, Bratislava, SK) is a Slovak visual artist who works mainly within the field of photography and overlaps into thinking about his possibilities at present. His work is a kind of testimony, an attempt to articulate, express the thoughts based on thinking about a particular place and its past in an effort to restore the world’s experience, to the non-transferability of materiality and its memory.
Sanja Anđelković is visual and textual research artist based in Novi Sad, Serbia. Her research is focused within the field of documentary (fiction) practice where she is considering/questioning its position within the system of gender, political, social roles or traumatic moments of personal biography/history.
