Košice Artist in Residence
In the autumn edition of Open Studios Night, you will be introduced to our two current residency artists – Marc Vilanova from Spain and Ezgi Yakın from Turkey. From Izmir, Turkey is also Saliha Yavuz representing our partner organization Hayy Open Space, who is traveling to Košice to talk about their local art scene.
Samuel Velebný participated within the project K.A.I.R. Košice Artist in Residence in an almost 2-month residency stay in Ukraine, during which he devoted himself to artistic research of the landscape and concepts through various prisms of nature and culture. The result of his stay is a visual work and a lecture entitled Associative Atlas of Cultural Landscape.

Košice Artist in Residence. In her project, the author elaborates on several layers on the topic of education, education system, and its conditions.
We cordially invite you to Kasárne Kulturpark, where you will have a unique opportunity to experience a poly / interactive sound installation through your senses – sight and hearing – on which Jiří Suchánek – a Czech audiovisual artist, musician, multimedia experimenter, and developer, worked during his two-month residence stay within the project K.A.I.R. Košice Artist in Residence.
On the 12th Open Studios Night, Karolína Kohoutková who works in the field of body design and Jiří Suchánek, an audiovisual artist and experimenter, will introduce themselves.
The premiere of a short film by a young Serbian artist Ognjen Tadić created during a two-month residence within the project KAIR Košice Artist in Residence. In his work, the author was inspired by the local story of Roman Anděl about the revelation of a forest spirit during camping near Bukovec and at the same time a Slavic legend of a forest demon named Leshy.
