Natalia Revko – There is Always Something on the Horizon
Natalia Revko is a curator and researcher from Odesa, who participated in a two-month KAIR residency. During this time Natalia was researching the topography and landscape of Kosice tracing city flows, the influence of public art objects on routes as well as how citizens overtake the city by walking.
In her presentation, Natalia will make an introduction on how city structure can impact the artistic practice by giving examples from her research on underground practices of 1970-80s of her native city. She will combine it with what she has learned about Kosice during her residency giving an outside glance on the city space.
This residency is supported by the Creative Europe programme. The residency program is supported using public funding by Slovak Arts Council. Slovak Arts Council is the main partner of the project.
The residency is organized in collaboration with Meet Factory in the Czech Republic, hablarenarte: in Spain and Visual Culture Research Center, in Ukraine.
