Open Studios Night vol. 17
In the summer edition of Open Studios Night, you will be introduced to our two current residency artists – Đejmi Hadrović and Nežka Zamar from Slovenia, who are at our residence as part of the Hydra Pace project. During the evening, you will be able to get acquainted with their ongoing projects and also take part in the participatory project of Nežka Zamar, which aims to create an interactive audio map of the city.
Đejmi Hadrović is a media artist working in photography, video, installation art and performance art. She studied philosophy, culture and anthropology and further continued her master’s studies focusing on Time-based media at the University of Art and Industrial Design in Austria. In 2017 she became a PhD scholar at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna.
Nežka Zamar is an interdisciplinary artist (*1990) who currently lives and works between Ljubljana, Slovenia and Venice, Italy. She studied painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice and continued her studies in visual arts at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University in Istanbul, and later graduated at the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice under the mentorship of professor Carlo di Raco. Her interdisciplinary artistic practice focuses on the interspace between materiality and concept, researching the boundaries of artistic mediums through subject representation.
The residency is organized as a part of the HYDRA PACE – Platform for Artistic Collaboration and Exchange project. Anna Lindh Foundation and the European Union are the main partners of the project. The residency program of KAIR Košice Artist Residence is supported using public funding by Slovak Arts Council.
