Open Studios Night w/ Patrícia Chamrazová & Kay Yoon
We invite you to this year’s first Open Studios Night as you have never seen it before!
As part of the Meet & Greet format, we will welcome the Korean artist, Kay Yoon, who in her artistic practice explores the connections between the human body, rituals and their biological processes in relation to spatial contexts.
At the same time, we will say goodbye to media artist Patrícia Chamrazová, who will present the result of her two-month research in the form of an audiovisual “work in progress” installation as part of a studio presentation.
In her project entitled Radical Connections – Beyond a Symbiotic Sensation in Phygital Times, Patrícia Chamrazová deals with current issues in the field of biotechnology, human and non-human knowledge, superhuman relationships or symbiosis within phygital environments and the metaverse. It focuses on the intermingling of man and machine, physical and virtual, biological and artificial. The research method with which Chamrazová approaches her work is based on a science-fantasy procedure and “what if/what will happen” scenarios. It also uses them to defend the new symbiotic whole of the organism and the environment. Do you think there is a possibility of interoperability between the microscopic and robotic worlds?
Come and see for yourself at the Šopa Gallery, where, in addition to a decent dose of art, you can also look forward to Korean specialties that Kay lovingly prepares for us.
We are looking forward to you!
