Výstavný projekt gruzínskej umelkyne Tamar Nadiradze ilustruje stav dnešnej spoločnosti na pomedzí post-apokalyptickej grotesky. Námety vo svojich dielach čerpá zo skutočných príbehov, ktoré prostredníctvom vlastnej fantázie transformuje do surrealistických akvarelových kresieb a koláží. Po vizuálnej stránke diela vychádzajú z estetiky detských obrázkových kníh a ľudových príbehov. Vidíme ako mestský život, kultúra, politika, vzdelávanie, spoločenské správanie, ekológia, znečistenie, ľudské práva a ideológie sa navzájom prelínajú a ovplyvňujú.
Tamar Nadiradze (*1991, Gori, Gruzínsko) patrí k mladej generácii gruzínskych výtvarníkov. Absolvovala bakalársky odbor knižnej ilustrácie a dizajnu na Akadémii umení v Tbilisi (2010 – 2014), po ktorom pokračovala v magisterskom štúdiu v Centre súčasného umenia – Tbilisi (2016). Vo svojej tvorbe systematicky skúma a spracováva ekologické a spoločenské témy, vlastnú identitu, či každodenné životné situácie v kontextoch súčasného umenia. Výsledkom umeleckého výskumu sú často experimentálne publikácie a/alebo kresby a ilustrácie, surreálne príbehy s témami spojenými s putovaním, traumami, hľadaním, vierou, genderovou identitou, komfortnou zónou a pod. Tamar si môžete pamätať z roku 2016, kedy sa prvýkrát zúčastnila rezidenčného pobytu v Košiciach, počas ktorého vytvorila experimentálnu publikáciu s názvom In the Forest.

The exhibition project of Georgian artist Tamar Nadiradze illustrates the state of today’s society at the intersection of post-apocalyptic grotesque. The topics in her works she gets from real stories which she by means of her own fantasy transforms into surrealistic watercolor drawings and collages. Visually the works come from the aesthetics of children picture books and folktales. We can see how the city life, culture, politics, education, social behaviour, ecology, pollution, human rights, and ideologies are merging with one another and affecting themselves.
Tamar Nadiradze (*1991, Gori, Georgia) belong to the young generation of Georgian artists. She finished her bachelor studies at the Department of Book Illustration and Design at the Academy of
Fine Arts in Tbilisi (2010 – 2014) and then she continued in the master‘s studies at the Centre of Contemporary art – Tbilisi (2016). In her work, she is systematically examining and processing
ecological and social topics, her own identity and everyday’s life situations in the contexts of contemporary art. The result of her artistic research is often experimental publications and/or
drawings and illustrations, surreal stories with topics connected to travelling, traumas, searching, faith, gender identity, comfort zone etc. You can remember Tamar from 2016 when she was on her first residency stay in Košice, during which she has created an experimental publication with a title In the Forest.
